Rule 129
Resignation accepted
(1) The following officer shall have the authority to accept the resignation of the following police personnel:
(a) Additional Inspector General of Police and Inspector General of Police – Government of Nepal (b) Senior Superintendent of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police – Home Minister
(c) Assistant Inspector of Police to Superintendent of Police – Secretary, Ministry
(d) Senior Deputy Inspector of Police and Deputy Inspector of Police - Inspector General of Police (e) Assistant Inspector General of Police – Additional Inspector General of Police ÷ Deputy Inspector General of Police
(f) Senior Constable of Police, Constable of Police, Assistant Constable of Police - Senior Superintendent of Police / Superintendent of Police
(G) Police Office Assistant - Deputy Superintendent of Police or a police officer of higher rank.
(2) If a police officer below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police or below has reached the pensionable service period and has been in the same position for at least eight years, if one month is left before the mandatory vacation in accordance with Rule 127, he will be promoted one level and given vacation.
(2A) In case of promotion and leave according to sub-rule (2), in the case of the following police personnel, the following post-period shall be calculated and promoted to the following post:-
(a) In the case of police personnel who were promoted to the position of Senior Deputy Inspector of Police after the commencement of this by-law, and who were promoted to the position of Senior Deputy Inspector of Police, after the commencement of this by-law, they will be promoted to the position of Police Inspector, (b) In the case of police personnel who were in the position of Deputy Inspector of Police during the commencement of this by-law, and who are working in the same position In the post of Inspector of Police, based on the tenure of that post,
(c) this bylaw. During the beginning. In the case of police personnel who have been promoted to the post of senior police constable after the commencement of this regulation, the period of the post of police constable will also be counted to the post of assistant inspector of police,
(d) In the case of police personnel working in the same post as police constable at the time of commencement of this bye-law, to the post of Assistant Inspector of Police based on the period of the post. (e) At the commencement of this bye-law, police constable PIn the case of police personnel who have been promoted to the post of police assistant constable after the commencement of this regulation, including the period of police constable post, (f) this bye-law; In the case of police personnel who are still working in the police/jawan post at the time of commencement, in the post of police constable based on the duration of the post.
(3) The authority shall have the authority to issue letters of retirement to the police personnel.
